For over a decade, I’ve been dedicated to empowering, educating, and sharing my experiences living with neuromuscular disease in schools across my community. Like many individuals with disabilities, I rely on a wheelchair-accessible van to fulfill my mission of promoting disability awareness, empowering change, and sharing my story. For the past ten years, a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country wheelchair-accessible van has been my trusty companion, enabling me to travel and conduct workshops throughout Orange County. Unfortunately, this van is now showing signs of wear and tear. The anticipation of losing my mobility and independence is a constant source of fear. Imagine not being able to attend medical appointments, board meetings, speaking engagements, or simply leave your neighborhood. For me, this would also mean halting my workshops, which are a crucial part of my efforts to educate and empower others. A new wheelchair-accessible van would be a life-changing investment. It would allow me to regain my independence and continue to spread awareness throughout our community. I appreciate your support. Together, we can make a difference. Together we can Put the Move in Movement.& Break the Norm.
